You know, it's not that often that a band can sound so far from their original sound that you can call them absolutely terrible... Metallica almost did this with St. Anger. However Guns N' Roses totally fits this mark. The new album, Chinese Democracy, is SO far from good, I don't know a word that can quite describe it. They do not sound like themselves anymore... not even Axl. With the new direction they are going, I believe that they should just change their name from Guns N' Roses to something else... the Guns N' Roses that we used to all know and love is gone.

Unlike Metallica ACDC new albums that still have their original sound this album does not resemble any way of what I am used to hearing from this group it was sad to say the least to hear axl rose performing opera Razz was like sickening

GnR should have stuck with there original sound.

AC/DC still sounds like the ac/dc i remember

Metallica is a interesting one tho. i grew up listing to them in the 80's there sound did kinda change come the 90's, unfortunately i didnt care for st anger to present, so in my eyes the group died after S&M

but like everything, things change over time

AC/DC does sound like AC/DC should.

Metallica started to die after the Black Album for me. But around S&M, isn't that when they sold out with Napster? I will say that Death Magnetic sounds a LOT like older Metallica though. Has the heavier riffs we love, the long, complicated solos. Vintage Metallica.

yes i think it was around S&M when metallica sold out. (yes they did have a point music piracy is illegal but i think they went at it the wrong way) i still jam out to seek and destroy, one, harvester of sorrow i do like the black album, load/reload s&m i thought was really interesting. but after that once Newsted left, to me they kinda died it wasnt the same.

When I spoke of having the same sound I wasn't talking about lyrics in my mind I can extinguish the old and new the music itself still has some of the beets drum solos that you Here in the original albums to me all they did was tone down the lyrics to get mom and pop off their backs now we must look at music privacy this is something that has been going on as far back as I can remember the problem I have with them is they wasn't worried about it being shared it was that they was worried about losing their cut
